Lost + Found: A Douglas Mountain Mystery Book 1

Available February 25, 2025

Ananda is a loser. Well, not really, but there’s a pattern of loss forming that she can no longer ignore. After losing her job, boyfriend, and apartment, Ana is being forced to start her life over again. Out of options, she leaves Vancouver in her trusted Subaru for a dreaded stay with her parents five hours away.

Along the way on a whim, she discovers the quaint and peaceful village of Douglas Mountain, situated near Whistler. But as with all small towns, things are not what they seem. Ana finds herself with an opportunity to finally use her journalism degree for good. A woman goes missing and Ana stumbles into a lead that no one else has.

With limited experience, she befriends the locals, including her lovely new landlord, a sleazy but sexy RCMP Constable, and a ruggedly handsome tech nerd. As she gets closer to finding the truth, what Ana is confronted with is greater than she anticipated. Emotions and evidence become confusing, and Ana is unsure of who she can trust.

Will she find the missing woman or will this case be her final loss?

Death + Comedy: A Douglas Mountain Mystery Book 2

Available June 2026

Ana’s career is finally going the way she had always envisioned. She’s writing for a living, both for the Douglas Mountain Tourism magazine and as a local correspondent for the CBC. But her tourism gig is only temporary and the only thing to write about in the small town for the CBC is felines stuck in firs.

Then one night, she’s sent to report on a comedy show in town. Everything goes well and the show becomes a local sensation, until the next morning when a body is found.

Ana has never reported on a death before. To make life difficult, her RCMP boyfriend, Ronnie, is out of town. She’s forced to work with a constable she’s just met and an IT specialist who has confused feelings. What’s more, the constable has a history with Ana’s boyfriend and the IT specialist has a history with Ana.

Ana’s feelings of loneliness start to subside as she makes new connections and rekindles some old ones. Even with this unexpected support, she’s not sure it’ll help her keep her jobs. Or her relationship with Ronnie.

Can Ana solve the case of the dead body before death becomes her life in Douglas Mountain?
